Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) RT-PCR
This test uses a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method to detect the genetic material of Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV), a virus that can cause respiratory infections.
B12 Combo (Active B12 & Total B12)
This test measures both Active B12 (the bioavailable form used by the body) and Total B12 (which includes inactive forms).
NGS Cancer Gene – Any Four Marker / Gene
It is a targeted Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) panel that analyses four key cancer-related genes or biomarkers from a single sample.
Oxalate By Random Urine
This test evaluates the amount of oxalate - a substance naturally produced by the body - in a single urine sample.
SMA Carrier Detection by MLPA
Carrier screening for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) using MLPA (Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification) is a genetic test that identifies individuals carrying a mutated copy of the SMN1 gene - the primary cause of SMA, a rare genetic disorder that affects the motor neurons in the spinal cord.
Pancreatitis Gene Panel (CFTR, CTRC, PRSS1, SPINK1)
It is a genetic test that analyses CFTR, CTRC, PRSS1, and SPINK1 genes for mutations linked to an increased risk of pancreatitis.
Urine Cytology
This test helps detect abnormal or cancerous cells in the urine and is commonly used to evaluate urinary tract cancers, especially bladder cancer.
24 Hr Urine Citrate
A 24-hour urine citrate test, also called the citrate excretion test, evaluates citrate levels in a urine sample over a 24-hour period. Citrate measurement is often part of the investigating the underlying cause of renal stone disease.
Allergy-Wheat - Gehu
The Allergy-Wheat (Gehu) test helps find out whether an individual has an allergic reaction to wheat (gehu). Some common wheat allergy symptoms include hives, asthma, and nasal congestion.
