Pathology Lab

Pathology Lab

As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.

Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results

At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.

  • NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
  • Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
  • Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
  • Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
  • Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
  • External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
  • Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.

sFlt-PlGF Ratio

The sFlt-PlGF ratio is a biomarker that is used to assess preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication. It reflects the balance between soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1), an anti-angiogenic factor, and placental growth factor (PlGF), a pro-angiogenic factor.

ASKA (Anti Skeletal / Striated Muscle Antibody)

The test detects the presence of autoantibodies against skeletal or striated muscle proteins. It is used to evaluate autoimmune disorders such as myasthenia gravis and certain myopathies, helping assess muscle weakness and guide treatment strategies.

Hains 1st Line

It is a molecular genetic test that detects drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It identifies mutations associated with resistance to first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs like rifampicin and isoniazid, aiding in the rapid evaluation and treatment planning for tuberculosis patients.

West Nile Virus By PCR

The test uses the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to detect the genetic material of the West Nile virus in the blood or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). PCR testing is most effective when used within the first few days of symptom onset.

BioFire Respiratory Panel

The test uses multiplex PCR technology to simultaneously detect a wide range of respiratory pathogens, including viruses and bacteria, from a single patient sample. It helps in the evaluation of respiratory infections and guiding appropriate treatment strategies.

Single Bead Antigen Class 1 & 2

Test for Donor Specific Class I & II Antibody (DSA) Detection by Single Antigen Bead Assay generally useful for Renal Transplantation.

Leptospira DNA by PCR

This test is used to determine Leptospira Exposure for Reverse Transciptinase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR).

KIR Genotyping

The KIR genotyping test may be useful for bone marrow transplantation donors to explore likelihood of a potent graft versus leukemia effect.

Adenovirus Qualitative by Real Time PCR

This test is used to determine exposure to Adenovirus by Reverse Transciptinase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR).
